Perfection

Topic: Perfection

Scripture Reading: Psalm 37:37-40

Main Text
Psalm 37:37-38

'Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.'

Good men are men of mark, and are worth our study. Upright men are marvels of grace, and worth beholding. For the end of that man is peace. The man of peace has an end of peace. Peace without end comes in the end to the man of God. His way may be rough, but it leads to fulfilment.

David said 'I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.' (Psalm 37:25)

Though the blameless or righteous may meet with troubles in his way; though his days may be long, dark, and cloudy; yet all shall end well with him; he shall be happy at last.

The end of the wicked shall be cut off — That is, he shall be cut off at last, or in the end. His prosperity shall end in destruction.

Prophetic Decree:
In all circumstances you shall see Peace at last. The LORD shall deliver, vindicate and perfect whatever concerns you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

Have a gracious week!
Shalom

Scripture Reading: Daniel 3:1-30

Main Text
Daniel 3:16-18

'Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

King Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, had constructed a golden statue that was 90 feet tall. He issued a decree that when the people heard the music, they were to bow down and worship the statue which he had built… or they would be thrown into a furnace of blazing fire. But the three Hebrews refused to bow down to it.

Their disobedience was an act of faith and not sin. They held on to God's Word not to bow to any other god.

A responsive faith does not always mean that there must be some form of extreme outward action. There are times that the most faithful response is to keep silent and bear the unjust dealings of others of which God will vindicate.

After they'd been put into the burning fiery furnace, the king said; “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

Jesus Christ our Lord was with them in their burning experience! fulfilling His gracious promise, When thou goest through the fire and the flame, I will be with thee. (Isaiah 43:2)

The Lord will not turn His back upon you when you go through the tyranny of men for His sake. The Lord will stand by you. And sooner or later - He will vindicate all those who are faithful to His Word. He will stand by them and He will show and demonstrate that they were right.

The king then promoted them in the province of Babylon.
No matter the circumstance, God always vindicates the faithful for His glory.

Prophetic Decree:
The LORD increase your faith in every situation. You shall be vindicated for His glory. Your faith will bring you to your worthy place in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

Blessings!
Shalom

Topic: Times of Self-Deception

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 5:1-31, 2 Timothy 4:1-5

Main Text
Jeremiah 5:30-31

“An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land:
The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so.
But what will you do in the end?"

'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.' (2Timothy 4:3-4)

In the days of Jeremiah, the people loved it because in so doing, they allowed themselves to be deceived into thinking that the restraints and penalties of God's law would not affect them. "It will not happen to me." That is what God shows happened in the Garden of Eden. Satan said, "You shall not surely die," and Adam and Eve became convinced that the penalty for sin would not affect them if they disobeyed what God said. They fell for what Satan told them.

Paul's letter to Timothy admonished that there will come a time when men will not put up with sound doctrine. They will not only reject the truth, they will refuse even to hear the truth.

It begins when we don't like what we hear from God's word, when God's word challenges us in terms of our thinking or our behavior. “That's not what it says about sex, is it? That's not what the Bible says about my money, is it? That's not what the Bible says about suffering, is it? About marriage? About divorce? About worry? That's not what the Bible really says about someone who is genuinely converted, is it? Is that really what it says about Hell?” Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, for all of us.

We look more and more for that which will affirm us rather than challenge us.
Only the Bible is the word of God, and only the Bible can nourish our souls with everything we need for what it means to truly live even on the day of reckoning.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I pray for wisdom and grace to endure sound doctrine in Jesus' mighty name. Amen

Tell a neighbour about Jesus Christ today. God bless you!

Topic: Get Moving!

Scripture Reading: Exodus 14:1-31

Main Text
Exodus 14:13-15

'And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.'

When they'd left Egypt moving towards the wilderness, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.

Moses told the people to trust God, now they would prove that trust by starting the journey, by moving forward. Walk towards the Red Sea, walk towards the wall, it seems unreasonable, it doesn’t seem possible, but God said move so get moving. You have to face that wall or you will stagnate there rather than move forward with God’s purpose for your life. In this journey you will come up against walls you will have to find a way through it. You must trust God to get you through it, but you have to get moving.

First stand still: that is where we connect with God; that is where we remind ourselves of where our hope lies; that is where our faith grows, that is where we surrender to Him. That is where we hear from God and get direction and guidance from Him. He will direct your path.

Prayer must be followed up with obedient action. Sometimes you pray about what to do, and God tells you what to do, but you keep praying about the same thing. You keep asking for guidance and God brings the same thought to your mind of the guidance He has already given, but you keep asking. Maybe that continued prayer is an excuse justifying why you are failing to act. If God has told you what to do, then get moving!

When it seems like you're not making progress, God is asking you to trust Him and Get Moving!
Whenever you stand still in God's Presence, you will go forward in God's Power in victory.

Prayer:
Sovereign LORD, I overcome every fear by faith to progress in Jesus' mighty name. Amen

The Lord bless and keep you!
Shalom
