Topic: The Universality of God's Mercy

Scripture Reading: Joshua 6:1-25, Hebrews 13:1-2

Main Text
Joshua 6:25

'And Joshua spared Rahab the harlot, her father's household, and all that she had. So she dwells in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.'

The creed of Rahab the harlot was very short and simple. She abjured idols, and believed that Jehovah was the one God. She knew nothing of even the Mosaic revelation, nothing of its moral law or of its sacrifice.

She took the trouble upon herself to hide the spies from the wrath of the king of Jericho.
There were priests and other religious leaders in Jericho but God in His infinite wisdom showed mercy to Rahab and her family from the destruction.

An act of kindness can preserve a family and even a whole generation.
There is always an appointed time for God to remember an act of kindness shown towards His work. Don't get weary in doing good.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your appointed time to remember me in Jesus' name. Amen

May the LORD bless your week!
Shalom
