Topic: Confidence in God
Scripture Reading: 1Samuel 17:1-37
Main Text
1Samuel 17:36-37
'Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”
Our experiences ought to be improved by us as our encouragements to trust in God and venture in the way of duty. He that has delivered does and will.
David ascribes his deliverance from those savage creatures, and his victory over them, and on Him he relied for help and salvation in the present case.
The position or height you attain in life should not cause you to now rely on means and methods and plans instead of God.
The God who is able to lift one up is also able to make provisions for that height.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your past deliverances in my life. Please cause me to walk confidently in You at all times for victory in Jesus' name. Amen
Have a fruitful week!
