Topic: The Purpose Of Life
Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Main Text
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
'Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is the whole duty man. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.'
King Solomon lived a life of wealth, power, and privilege. The book of Ecclesiastes chronicles his lifelong experimentation with various lifestyles, projects, possessions, hobbies, and creature comforts. What does he ultimately conclude about how humanity should live?
It is our business to see that we get into right relationship with God. By nature and by practice we are in a state of alienation from Him; there is a breach of our own making--between Him and us. Our prime concern should be to get that breach healed.
The fear of God is to love Him and obey His commandments. God created man for His own pleasure; hence every endeavour should glorify and reverence Him. God will bring every work into judgment whether good or evil.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Please grant that my endeavours will glory and reverence you in Jesus' name. Amen
Tell a neighbour about Jesus Christ today. Blessings!
Shalom
