Topic: Fulfilling Destiny
Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 17:31-40
Main Text
1 Samuel 17:38-39
'So Saul clothed David with his armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.'
Having a revelation of who we are is the first step to victory in this life. The first battle that must be won is the battle over our identity.
Saul had the duty to ensure David's safety in the battle against Goliath but little did he know that it was of the Lord to fulfill David's destiny.
People can often suggest many things to you in life's endeavours but you should always remember who you are amidst those suggestions.
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. [Philippians 1:6]
The victory to your battle does not lie within someone else’s gifting or what you have seen others do. You have been crafted by God to fulfill a destiny uniquely designed for you and He has given you the tools necessary to overcome. Don’t get caught up in wishing you had someone else’s talents or abilities, the All Sufficient one is on your side and in Him you will find all that you need.
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for Your grace which is at work in my life to fulfill my destiny in Jesus' name. Amen
God bless and keep you!
Shalom
